Welcome

On November 14th and 15th, 2022, the Conservation Center for Art & Historic Artifacts (CCAHA) will present a virtual two-day conference exploring the intersection of collections care and environmental science. How do collecting institutions preserve evidence of an ever-changing natural world? And how does a changing world and climate impact those preservation efforts?

Topics at this two-day virtual conference will address actions, responsibilities, and outcomes in the care of collections through a holistic lens, including documentation of the natural environment now and in the future, and the role cultural organizations have to play in advancing sustainability efforts. Participants will learn how efforts to preserve evidence of the natural world impact contemporary conversations about sustainability and engage in discussion about both the collections and the world we hope to leave behind.

Registration is now open! Please explore this site to learn about our roster of speakers, view a list of featured presentations and a complete conference agenda. Find registration details here. We look forward to having you join us for this event!
